Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of PodcastsAI, a service that summarizes podcasts and videos, available on the web, iOS and Android. By using it you agree to them.
What the service does
You give PodcastsAI a link to a podcast episode, video, channel, playlist or album. We retrieve the existing transcript or captions for that content, generate a summary, chapters and quotes, and let you ask questions about it.
Accounts
You can use PodcastsAI without an account. Signing in with Google or Apple syncs your library across devices. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you may delete it at any time from inside the app or via these instructions.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the service to infringe copyright or to redistribute someone else's content as your own.
- Don't attempt to circumvent usage limits, or access the service by automated means beyond normal app use.
- Don't use it for anything unlawful, or to process content you have no right to access.
Content and accuracy
Summaries are produced by an automated language model from third-party transcripts. They can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other consequential decisions without checking the source. The original recording is always the authority.
Rights in the underlying podcasts and videos belong to their creators. PodcastsAI does not claim ownership of them and does not host them. Creators who want their material excluded can email us and we will remove it.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change or be withdrawn. Some content cannot be summarized — for example, videos whose captions have been disabled — and that is not a fault we can fix.
Payment
Paid plans are described on the pricing page and governed by the refund policy. Prices may change with notice; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Cancellation and termination
You may stop using the service or cancel a subscription at any time. We may suspend access for breach of these terms, and will explain why where we can.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions taken in reliance on a summary. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above, and continuing to use the service means accepting them.
