Email tchuynh24@gmail.com with what you were trying to summarize and what happened. Including the link helps enormously.
Getting started
- Summarize something. Paste a YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts link and tap Summarize. The summary begins appearing while it's still being written.
- Share instead of pasting. From the YouTube, Spotify, or Podcasts app, tap Share and choose PodcastsAI.
- Browse a show. Paste a channel or show link to see recent episodes, then tap any one to summarize it.
- Follow a show. Open a show and tap Subscribe. New episodes are summarized automatically and a notification is sent when the summary is ready.
- Ask questions. On any summary, the box at the top answers questions about that episode, and remembers the conversation.
Common problems
"This video has no captions." We summarize from existing transcripts, so a video whose creator disabled captions can't be summarized. Some creators do this deliberately.
"Couldn't find a matching video." For Spotify and Apple episodes we locate the matching video version to read its transcript. Very new or video-less episodes may not have one yet — try again in a few hours.
A summary is taking a long time. Multi-hour episodes take longer. You can leave the app; if notifications are enabled we'll tell you when it's ready, and the summary will be waiting in My Summaries.
Notifications aren't arriving. Check Settings → Notifications → PodcastsAI is allowed, then re-open the show and confirm Subscribe is filled in. Summaries also appear in My Summaries when you open the app, whether or not the notification arrived.
Read aloud won't play. Check the ringer switch and volume, and that the summary finished generating.
Your data
Your library lives on your device. Clearing it in My Summaries removes it. See the privacy policy for what's collected and how to delete an account.
